1. How to get an Australia full driving licence?   ^ top

There are three stages to get your full licence in Australia.

You will need to pass 3 computer based theory tests and one road driving test.

Passing the 1st theory test - driver knowledge test - to enter stage 1, you will be issued with a learner licence.

The learner licence valid for 5 years, and you need to practice driving for at least 120 hours including 20 hours of night driving before you can move on to take the road driving test.

Passing the road test, you will enter stage 2 with a Provisional (P1) licence, which will be valid for 18 months.

When you have more experience and pass another computer based theory test - the Hazard Perception Test, you will then enter stage 3 with a Provisional (P2) licence, it is valid for 30 months.

The last test you need to go through is the computer based Driver Qualification Test.

Only after successfully passed the test, you will then be given the full driving licence.
